Plumbers and HVAC Contractors Insurance programs

Proper coverage with an A XV rated carrier

National E & S is proud to announce our exclusive Plumber and HVAC program combining General Liability, Pollution, and Mold coverage with an A XV rated carrier. The program, which is available in California, Arizona, and Texas at present, targets service and repair plumbers, and HVAC contractors.

We have added a second program with an A XV rated carrier combining general liability, pollution, and mold and will include those contractors doing new construction as well. Coverage is available in all 50 states.

Plumber Heating Cooling Contractors logoWe are also pleased to announce our recent selection as a preferred vendor for the California Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors Association (PHCC) for our exclusive plumber and HVAC program combining General Liability, Pollution, and Mold coverage.

The rates for the combined form are very competitive with carriers offering general liability only. All plumbers and air conditioner contractors work in environments where asbestos, lead, mold, bacteria, and blood borne pathogens may exist. General liability policies specifically exclude these exposures. Offering this to your clients will help your agency protect your own errors and omissions exposure.

The general liability, contractor pollution liability, and mold liability are all written on an occurrence basis. Nose coverage is available for those risks that may currently have contractor pollution liability with or without mold.

The insured is provided with a plumber liability reduction course at a nominal cost to the plumber as a program benefit. The course covers topics for their employees including asbestos, lead, mold, bacteria, and blood borne pathogens. The insured can receive up to 15% renewal credit at the first renewal based on the number of employees who complete the course.  The employee is awarded a certificate of completion for the class.

In the event an insured causes an at fault loss situation on a job, the insured is also provided with an approved restoration vendor who will mitigate the damages at a reduced rate to the insured plumber. This risk management tool ensures the program does not have a frequency of reported claims as the problems are taken care of by the approved restorer before any claims are ever presented to the carrier. This tool can best be compared to a tanker truck on the freeway losing its load and the carrier’s emergency provider responding to do the cleanup immediately.
